Have you ever struggled to believe that you could actually accomplish what God put you here for? Has God placed a desire in you to do something and you wonder how in the world it will ever happen. Maybe you had a word spoken over your life? Maybe God with His own voice called called you into something? Maybe God placed something deep down in you that you’ve always dreamed of walking out for the glory of the Lord? I want to encourage you this morning in the fact that you CANT do it. That’s right, I said it. You cant.
However God CAN do it; both in and then through you!
Abraham walked out this same truth as well. I want to share a passage with you that I believe will encourage you to trust God in spite of your fears and limitations.
Romans 4:19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
It says Abraham, “NOT being weak in faith did not consider his own body”. God told Abraham that he would be the father of nations when he didn’t even have a single child. Not only that but he was almost 100 years old! But Abraham believed God anyway! Abraham’s naturally body and his naturally inability to produce the promise God had given him had no bearing on him. I say this to communicate this truth to you: Your natural state has no bearing on the promise of God.
The promise of God will never come solely through your natural ability. As a matter of fact when we rely on our natural ability to bring about destiny it will hinder faith. Abraham was not weak in faith but but strong in faith because he trusted God to bring about the promise he knew was impossible for him to achieve alone.
God’s plan for you is impossible for you to walk out without Him. The promise and purpose that God has for you to walk in will only come when you reach the place of understanding that the great things God does through us, He does them despite us. It’s all grace.
God’s grace can produce supernaturally wonderful things in your life. It doesn’t matter what your limits or shortcomings are! It is God and His power that enables you to produce the seed that will grow into your destiny. The key is believing GOD. Not believing you are able too, but believing that in spite of you God is able to produce in you what will grow into your destiny.
I meet people all the time that limit how far they can go in God by their natural characteristics. They say things like ” I’m too shy”, “I’m too weak”, “I didn’t go to college”, or “I made too many mistakes”. What I love about this passage is that Abraham never considered himself part of the deciding factor. He trusted that in spite of his shortcomings God would somehow fulfill the promise through him. It’s never been about you. Its always been about God! His grace working effectively in your life is able to bring about every bit of His plan for you!
He has a wonderful plan for your life!
Trust God’s ability over your own!
Do what He is calling you to do and go where He is calling you to go.
Do not make your natural characteristics a deciding factor in God’s supernatural plan for you.
In my next post i’m going to talk about seeing your dream grow even in the dead places. God bless you!
