I woke up this morning and did not want to do anything other than pray on behalf of our city. My heart was heavy for the drug attics and the people that have made poor choices in their lives that have led them to a place that is desperate and often seemingly hopeless. I was reminded of how often I forgot about these people and how the Lord cares deeply for them. Jesus often spoke of the least of these. He ministered to the nastiest most sinful people on earth. Jesus is still close to those who are in pain and seem to be lost and alone. He saw the beauty and potential in every person He created.
I thought about how desperately I want to see a move of the Spirit of God that is so powerful that every heart that is void of the love of God is filled. What would happen if Gods love reached every person in Nampa Idaho. The drug dealers would have no clients, the abortion clinics would have no “patients”, the police would have less crime. Could it happen? Almost immediately the thought crossed my mind that it couldn’t. There will always be some that live in bondage to the things that will kill them. There will always be some that are Hell bound, right?
Then the sweet voice of the Holy spirit whispered to me and said, “Why not? Isn’t that I what I asked you to do?” “Can I not build my own Church to include them all?”
What would happen if we took the limits off what God wants to do in our city, in our nation? What would happen if we call on His name and ask for a city? What would happen if the people of God would call on His name and ask for everyone in their office building or your Job site to be won to the kingdom. What would happen if our young people would call on the name of the Lord and believe for their schools? what would happen if we all acted on that belief?
Now more than every before we need to take the limits off what God wants to do in His kingdom. Is He not able to build His own church if we would be His hands and swing the hammer? We need to step out and trust Him to build His kingdom. There is nothing He will not do to reach His lost Children. The question is are we willing to partner with Him.
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and PRAY and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their LAND.”
